A modular physical home for FLOCK.

Aluminium-profile frame carrying reclaimed, upcycled computer monitor screens, Mac mini computers and visible infrastructure. Designed to retain a strong visual identity while allowing for variable configurations.

Tall stepped aluminium extrusion sculpture with a narrow illuminated display and visible cables
Primary structural reference: narrow base, stepped uprights, open negative space and visible cabling.

Frame Design

A stepped, L-shaped frame with screens facing three ways.

An irregular stepped base (about 1,300 × 500 mm) with eight 40×40 uprights of different heights, tied by top bridges and a low brace. Screens hang on short bars between uprights and can face the front, sides or back; only the bars move between layouts. Sizes in mm: uprights floor to top, screens floor to centre.

Back elevation: VESA plates, screen bars and cable runs

What each layout costs to build

Working estimates in GBP, including a 10% contingency. The total is only what you need to buy: the frame kit (profile and cutting, Light to standard profile, joints, fixings, levelling feet, VESA plates, ballast and delivery), the extra video cables and display adapters, and power. Screens and Mac minis are greyed out because you already have them (4 screens, 2 Mac minis, 3 cables); their buying prices are shown only for reference. Van hire and insurance are extra.
